Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before making a booking with us.
1. About These Terms
These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made with Molliccino's, operated by Molly Shackshaft trading as Molliccino's ("we", "us", "our"), a mobile espresso trailer hire service based in Great Barford, Bedfordshire.
By paying a deposit or confirming a booking with us, you ("the client") agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Enquiries and Quotes
Submitting an enquiry through our website does not constitute a confirmed booking. We will respond to your enquiry as soon as possible to discuss availability and pricing.
Any written quote we provide is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued, unless otherwise stated.
3. Confirming Your Booking
A booking is only confirmed once:
- You have received written confirmation from us (by email or message), and
- A deposit of £50 has been received
Until both conditions are met, your date is not reserved and may be offered to other clients.
4. Deposits and Payment
A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required to secure your booking date. This deposit is deducted from your total hire fee.
The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before your event date. We will send a reminder in advance. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in your booking being cancelled and the deposit being forfeited.
Payment methods accepted will be confirmed at the time of booking.
5. Cancellation by the Client
If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. The following cancellation terms apply:
- More than 8 weeks' notice: Deposit refunded, minus a £25 administration fee
- 4–8 weeks' notice: Deposit forfeited; no further charge
- 2–4 weeks' notice: 50% of the total agreed hire fee is payable
- Less than 2 weeks' notice: 100% of the total agreed hire fee is payable
Notice periods are calculated from the date we receive written notification to your confirmed event date.
6. Cancellation or Changes by Molliccino's
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking due to circumstances beyond our control (including but not limited to illness, vehicle breakdown, or severe weather making travel unsafe), we will notify you as soon as possible and provide a full refund of all monies paid. We will also do our best to help you find an alternative solution.
We reserve the right to make reasonable adjustments to agreed service details where necessary, and will communicate any such changes to you in advance.
7. Changes to Bookings
If you wish to change your event date, we will do our best to accommodate the request, subject to availability. Date changes requested with less than 4 weeks' notice cannot be guaranteed and may be treated as a cancellation.
8. Our Service
We will arrive at your venue at a time agreed in advance to set up our trailer. Set-up and pack-down time is in addition to your hired service period.
You are responsible for ensuring that:
- Suitable vehicular access to the set-up location is available
- A suitable, level surface is available for the trailer
- Access to a power supply (if required) has been arranged, unless otherwise agreed
We reserve the right to refuse to set up at a location that poses a health and safety risk, without refund obligation.
We hold full public liability insurance. Details are available on request.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability to you in connection with any booking shall not exceed the total hire fee paid by you for that booking.
We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from the provision or non-provision of our services.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other matter that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
